About

I admit that sometimes I am not the easiest person to keep track of. Jetting off to here and there; I am never at home by my phone. Hopefully you can keep up to date with these notes. --Dan

It is hard to believe that it is time for my high school reunion, as time seems to have past so fast. I am a firm believer in having a fun time, so I through a pre-party bash at my house would fit the bill! I assigned everyone a little task and we had a potluck. I bought some cheap wine and liquor for extra strong grasshoppers, Steve brought the cheese tray, Trisha made brownies “without the box”, and Benny brought over the brats and good quality brat buns. Jeremy and Davy brought themselves. Ben practiced his newly earned bartending skills with the blender making a mixture of Brandy Alexanders and Grasshoppers, which we all guzzled down. We put the brats on the grill and settled into a darkened living room for the main event.

What better way to spend a pre-reunion bash than watching a movie about a reunion? It was time to watch Beautiful Girls. It helps that it is our favorite movie. We eat in the same tables, in the same restaurants as the characters do. We bowl at Bryant Lake bowl where Jan worked in the movie. We know every line. It’s a tragedy of Elizabethan proportions.

Then it was off to Partners for the reunion. We mingled with the faces from high school, and then realized that none of the class officers showed up. I guess they really dropped the ball, and now Ben wants to plan the 10th class reunion with our help. We left Partners after a few hours and visited the other fine establishments in Point namely Guus, Top hat, GlassHouse, and JL’s. I beat Ben and Davey at a 2 on 1 game of fooseball as well. We saw the same faces that were at Partners everywhere we went, small town. Wish I could stay longer, but now it is time to head back to the metropolis.
