I got back to Stevens Point on Tuesday to start a nice long Thanksgiving weekend. We had a quaint family gathering and a large holiday meal today, the day before the fourth Thursday of November. It was the time of year for turkeys, stuffing, cheap wine, and mashed potatoes. Dad tried to make some kind of cranberry something, but I didn’t buy it. I followed a traditional eating approach that more closely resembled the Pilgrims’ first harvest feast with the Wampanoag, more meat and less vegetable. Mom and Anna both brought their animals, and Gato seemed to scare Lucy. That is correct; the cat chased the little puppy. In my opinion, the jury is still out on whether having pets is natural. After dinner I looked at Jeremy’s new laptop and fingerprint scanner (IBM discount), and then we went out with Ben and Davey to the restaurant for some apps.
