Tonight I went to the Chatterbox Pub on East 35th with Steve and Raygor. The first thing I noticed about the Chatter was the furniture. It was filled with couches and loveseats like you would find in your grandmothers basement. Next your eyes drift to the large TVs that the couches surround, and the Atari games that are being played on them. That’s right; at the Chatter you can play games while you eat/drink. The menu has a special page devoted to a selection of board games ranging from Trivia Pursuit and Othello to Risk. The menu also has a complete selection of old Atari games!
Since Steve and Nate are new members of the East side working mans, almost yuppie class; we chose to show our vocabulary prowess to the cute waitresses by playing an intense game of Scrabble! It was a close game, but when the dust settled I, the newcomer, inched out the competition. Besides the board games, eclectic 70’s music, Atari systems, and waitresses, the Chatter had excellent food as well! I devoured my grilled chicken quesadilla and was left wanting more, more, more!
